  • London-based Maitre Fulgence Niamba graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Abidjan and Paris, and also from the University of Paris 8. A lecturer in visual arts, he has taught in England, Ivory Coast and France, where he contributed immensely to the development of many teachers and artists. Maitre Niamba works tirelessly to promote visual arts as the founder and curator of the very popular biennial UNESCO’s Art For Peace project. He is widely consulted for private and public art collections.

About the work of the artist:

  • In his work, Maitre Niamba is constantly seeking balance, and draws mainly on the symbolic elements of the universe, their relationship with human beings but also with everything that exists. His quest for spiritual knowledge and self-awareness led him to the discovery of the Jewish Kabbalistic tradition and the power of the Hebrew letters, which he incorporates into a lot of his works. The outstanding work he creates with these powerful Hebrew letters appeals a great deal to people of all ages and backgrounds.
